Peter Fröhlich – New course record at the toughest long-distance race of Europe with his 4er-Team!Thu, 21 Aug 2014 00:00:00 +0200 - MTB & ROAD
The Team “Ride All Adventures” from Lower Austria with Felix Schneider, Gerald Staber, Wolfgang Hofmann and Peter Fröhlich won with a new course record the “Race Around Austria 2014” with 2Days, 17Hours and 43Minutes with a lead of 15Minutes. With bad conditions like heavy rain, coldness and strong winds, the teams started from St. Georgen/Attergau a race around Austria. As close as possible at the border for 2200km and over 30 000 meters elevation gain. After Peter Fröhlich has driven the Crocodile Trophy/Australia with our MTB-crank together with a Powermeter last year, he used our ROAD-crank together with a SRM-Powermeter for this tough race! We want to congratulate him and the whole team on that extraordinary achievement and wonderful success!

We can recommend the Hegau-Marathon/Germany or Albstadt/Germany. We hope you had a successful weekend and wish a good start in the week! Thanks to Redheads TEAM for the nice wellness-pictures!

Have you met… ?!Fri, 25 Apr 2014 00:00:00 +0200 - MTB
Allow me to introduce: „Paolo“. He is a sturdy fellow (race setup) with 9kg and a preference for lightweight parts. “Paolo” is the constant companion of the German MTB-Marathon Champion 2013 – Silke Schmidt. Due to an optimization with B.O.R Germany and NewUltimate components he lost 980gr of its original weight! Have a close look. Because during races you’ll see him usually just from the back… We wish you all a nice and successful weekend!

0,8 Gramm Locktite and a few more parts...Mon, 07 Apr 2014 00:00:00 +0200 - MTB
How you plumb yourself light 29er crankset out of 0,8 grams of locktite, a few screws and a few other ingredients:
(Jamie Oliver style)
1. Choose ingredients ; 2. Check weight (582,3 grams) ; 3. Stir well! ; 4. Check weight again: Exactly 0,8 grams more (Some saliva, sweat, Locktite … and probably a ripped of fingernail)
Well, READY is the new 2014 XC666-29er! Fits every hole … , sorry bottom bracket! (From July onwards starting at 565 grams!)
From training directly to the podium!Thu, 03 Apr 2014 00:00:00 +0200 - MTB
Last weekend the Austrian rider, Felix Ritzinger, was able to ride directly on #2 at his first race of the season (“Kamptal Klassik Trophy” in Langenlois/Austria). With perfect spring conditions on that race day, only Jan Rajchart (Czech Republic) was faster than him (24sec). Despite his somewhat less than perfect preparation due to an injury and a cold, it was a good start into the new season! Almost 2 minutes ahead of #3 on the first race of the season is a good proof of what can be expected this season. For the upcoming weekend and the first race of the “Junior World Series” in Nals/Italy, we wish him all the best and keep the finger crossed!
Team toMotion Racing by black tuskSat, 29 Mar 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB
The team-claim for 2014 is “back to the roots”. The former team “Black Tusk Racing by toMotion” changed the name to “toMotion Racing by black tusk” due to a new strategic focus. Just the same the name giver of our 1266XM Black Tusk – wheelset got big plans for this season! We are really excited to be part of it again this year. Beside our wheelsets some of the team members are also riding our B.O.R Germany cranks (some even with a Powermeter). The team is organized in different groups and offers with 6 locations within Germany a home for bike enthusiast who don’t like to ride alone. For the season we wish all riders and team members all the best and fun while biking!

We want to congratulate her on the new sponsorship and are already looking forward for the first race results! For the future and her races, we wish her all the best!

„Besis Tour fürs Leben“ – Broadcast dateFri, 21 Mar 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB & ROAD
Tomorrow the 22.03.2014 at 15:30pm-MEZ the 30min-documentary: „Besis Tour fürs Leben” will be broadcasted on the biggest public-sector broadcaster in Germany (station: ARD). A camera-team spent time with Andreas “Besi” Beseler on his four-week trip through Canada last year and delivers nice shots with that movie. He was riding our B.O.R Germany crank on his journey together with a Power2Max-Powermeter. This story is not only a perfect example how to handle a heavy stroke of fate. It also gives people in similar situations courage, hope and the power to prepare their own “Tour for live”. So set your timer and enjoy! It’s worth it. For the future we wish Andreas all the best and a lot of energy for more adventures!
The winter fat has to go!Mon, 10 Mar 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB
Ready for the fasting period we made some weight optimization on our XX29er-Spider. Due the small changes we were able to bring the weight of the B.O.R/Tune version down to 38,8gr. The CANNONDALE-compatible version of the spider is now 39,1gr. And the whole unit with B.O.R/Tune spider, chainrings (104/36 – 64/22) and chainring bolts does now have a weight of 113,3gr. To you all a happy fasting period and don’t forget to put your bike on a diet too!
Our polished beauties!Thu, 20 Feb 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB
On special request of a customer we produced a limited edition of our XC666. The parts were polished and prepared with a special coating. The result is really stunning as we think! Just before we sent those parts out to the customer, we couldn’t resist taking some pictures. Now to the bad news: The production of 10 cranksets is already sold out…
Austrias young talents again with B.O.R Germany in 2014Tue, 18 Feb 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB
Nadja Heigl (17) and Felix Ritzinger (17) are some of the best newcomer riders which Austria has to offer. We equipped them already in 2013 with our parts and are happy to announce that this cooperation will be continued in 2014! After a pretty good season in 2013: e.g. #5 Worldchampionship in Pietermaritzburg/South Africa, National Champion Cyclocross/Women-Elite and several more top-rankings and title for Nadja Heigl, Felix Ritzinger finished the season as #13 in the worldranking, won the Austrian Championship in XCO, the overall winner of the Mountainbike-League-Austria and much more. Both riders are already excited to start the new season and show the world, what they can do! We wish both of them all the best for that!
„Rad statt Rollstuhl“(Cycle instead of wheelchair) – Andreas „Besi“ BeselerThu, 13 Feb 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB & ROAD
There are different ways to handle a medical diagnosis. Andreas “Besi” Beseler has found his! Under the motto “Rad statt Rollstuhl” (Cycle instead of wheelchair) he is riding the tracks and streets despite his multiple sclerosis! Cycling as pain- and exercise therapy! Last year he has done a 3800km tour trough Canada. This incredible achievement is not only giving him the strength, it also helps other people with that non-curable disease. This summer is a new tour planned. “Besi&Friends” from Jügesheim near Frankfurt to Barcelona in Spain! There are some stage slots still free to enter. Take the chance to meet a magnificent person and ride together! We are really impressed by his power and his strength of will! Therefore we are thankful that he trusts in our B.O.R Germany crank with Power2Max-Powermeter. For the future we wish him all the best!
Snapshot from assembling!Sat, 08 Feb 2014 00:00:00 +0100 - MTB
The cranks for the Scott Genius Generation Mountainbike-Team are freshly assembled and are waiting to be shipped! The team will ride our B.O.R Germany XC666 crank in the upcoming season. If with a Powermeter-System or without, our crank is one of the most versatile cranks on the market! Due to the “SmartSpindleSystem” it will fit in almost every bottom bracket! We’re excited about the new team riding our cranks and wish you all a nice weekend!
